August of 2024 we hosted another 2 day training at Wethersfield High School with Meagan Baldwin of Heartland BAVX. We had two days of learning and connection and co-regulation. Meagan is gifted in the way she teaches and engages all learners first and foremost making them feel safe and welcome in a new environment. The attendees included occupational therapists, physical therapists, teachers, speech therapists, para-educators, a psychologist, school administrators and parents. Meagan shared some of the neuroscience behind Bal-A-Vis-X and how she incorporates it into her day job as the Regulation Coach at Faris Elementary in Hutchinson, Kansas. Meagan is also a part-time consultant at the Trauma Informed Educators Network. Joe Brummer, author and trauma-informed, restorative educator, shared his experiences and how he uses Bal-A-Vis-X with his students and clients.
